When my husband and I met I told him who I was related too but forgot to tell him not to tell anyone......so he told his family and now they want me over all the time, that is exactly why I did not want anyone to know! People just plain suck! Celebrities are people too and who gives a crap who you are related too, doesn't make you a good person! Godbless my cousin but I would never trade places with her and all the stupid judging and materialistic crap that goes on.

Everyone wants their "15 minutes" and I would guess that those who are destined to be un-famous would rather say "I'm Friends with so and so's cousin".. gives them the feeling of being a part of something..or maybe they hope that you would be able to give them the "inside" scoop on the latest celebrity gossip... who knows exactly, but I do know that true Friends do not care who you are related to... they only care about you friendship. I believe people are greedy, and they probably think that you are rich just because u are related to someone who is...like your cousin would share her fortune with you...and they think they can get their hands in the cookie jar too!!
