Purre a kiwi, plum & 1/2 apple like a fruit cream & feed it to him. My son always pooed when he had kiwi. I always gave him his pureed fruit in the a.m & always helps. You can try using different fruits as well like 1/2 banana or 1 small banana and a kiwi etc...

My son suffered from that frequently. I gave him plum/prune baby food and/or apple juice. And on especially diffacult occasions, I assisted with a lubricated thermometor. Also, try adding just the tinyest bit of sugar to his water. That's the only way my son would drink it until he was about 6 months old.

if a baby is formula fed, you are not supposed to give them anything for four days of no poops, then take them to your doctor. if it is breastfed, it is ten days. Giving an infant anything but formula/breastmilk is potentially dangerous for them! They could get diarrhea and dehydrate with terrifying speed!! you must see a doctor after the appropriate amount of time, they will then determine what the best method is for your baby depending on several different symptoms.
and I hope you know this, but as I've seen some suggest it - Never use a rectal thermometer! they are dangerous, that's why they've been discontinued...

well gerber makes prune apple juice, water it down it will still be sweet so he might take it. or mix some Karo corn syrup in with his formula. you can can try taking his temperature rectally. you dont need his temp but the thermometer will stimulate his bowels. if after all that he still hasnt gone then use a infant rectal suppository. you can also do leg exercises (bicycle his legs and softly press them into his tummy) this can help relieve some of the pain, and help him along. all this worked for my daughter i hope it can work for you!

i highly recommend prune juice. My son was in the same situation. Just make sure you dilute it a bit i would say 2 parts juice to 1 part water. it's sweet so they like it. good luck

my health visitor told me give 1oz of prune juice to every 4oz of water and mix it all together in a bottle. You could always try fresh orange juice watered down. I used to go to baby massage and they taught me something to do if your baby gets constipated, gently massage your baby's tummy in a clockwise direction (if you are looking down at your baby). Good luck with everything!

Pedialite. That works. But if he gags on water give him a little ginger ale w/ warm water. just get a nipple to wear you would have to put the hole through and you can control how big it is. The best nipple is the one that they give when they first come home.

I had to use dark Karo in my infants bottle.
Also, sometimes a rectal thermometer can stimulate the bowel to move.
