Research is the key. You need to provide a service that is needed/wanted in the area and that has easy access.

I don't know about the Denver example you gave, but location is key to a business too. Some areas are the kiss of death, others are a boom. This is where the research comes in very handy.

You need to offer something no one else offers. If you have a pizza place and there are 3 other pizza places, have the best service and the best specials. Also, Advertise and network.
