I just bought a PSP but from Overseas, now i was wondering will the games they sell here in the states work on it or not?

All games are region free. However UMD movies are not.

Probably not being that the games sold in the USA have a different region like DVD's do. Example of this is that the USA has a region of 1 and can only be played on PSP's with region 1. These such PSP's include ones from Canada and the US.

Yes you can. The PSP isn't not region free, BUT all PSP games are region free, so you can play PSP games on any PSP, and PSP can play any PSP games. But movies are still region coded, so you can't watch UK movies on a North American PSP.

They should work because it is the same PSP device just from overseas.And because my friend has one that she got 4 her husband that she ordered from Japan and all the games worked from the states. So don't worry. { I hope I helped}

Yes. Besides, PSP is made by Sony which is overseas.

they should work. did you get it in japan? oh well it doesn't matter, if you bought it here, its probably made somewhere else anyway.
