The last movie I watched was "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert". Even though it's pretty weird, I just keep loving its soundtrack.
We had this "movie discussion" class the other day and I thought it could be fun to show it to my students. It didn't do well. Not everyone is ready psychologically to enjoy it.
Plot Synopsis: Two drag-queens (Anthony/Mitzi and Adam/Felicia) and a transexual (Bernadette) contract to perform a drag show at a resort in Alice Springs, a resort town in the remote Australian desert. They head west from Sydney aboard their lavender bus, Priscilla. En route, it is discovered that the woman they've contracted with is Anthony's wife. Their bus breaks down, and is repaired by Bob, who travels on with them.

In the cinema, Marie Antoinette. On the television, Freeway.
I liked them both - Marie Antoinette isn't perfect but a refreshing approach to history. Loved the clothes and wigs!
I have seen Freeway before - I think it's a great performance from Reese Witherspoon in a VERY black comedy.

" My Dog Skip." I traumatized my 4 year old granddaughter so bad I've never gone to see another movie. I Loved it. I blubbered out loud and scared her to death.
I do so want to see those dancing penguins but I'm afraid one might die so I can't go.
