Women. Mostly. Men set their standard TOO high & expect a little TOO much that's why women with less confidence feel the need to upgrade their looks by plastic surgeries? If men would be a little more open & accept women for their hearts, they wouldn't have to fill themselves up with collagen nor silicon. But some are just really ignorant & they want to expose their bodies too much & it's weird to look at

Because some people are never satisfied with the way they look. No one can be perfect from plastic surgery. If they see anything that's off by the littlest imperfection they get plastic surgery. But hey, if they have the money they can waste it how they want.

You obviously have not reached middle age yet. To me the answer is quite obvious. In todays society beauty and good looks are thrown upon us at every turn. Magazines, television, movies...and in everyday life it's young, pretty people who reign. The medical field continues to give us options and as we age the temptation to try these options is great. I do agree that moderation is the key. Know when to give it up and grow old gracefully. Until then a little nip, tuck, and injection makes me feel better about myself. I'm not ready to sign up for the nursing home quite yet.

I don't understand why soo many people do it. Did Katie Couric get plastic surgery. I saw her on the news and I didn't even know it was her..

One word can sum it all up...vanity. Vanity about one's looks, how one feels about their body, the signs of aging, etc. Personally, the thought of plastic surgery scares the hell out of me! I guess I've watched too many of those cable shows that depict surgeries gone wrong, lol!

It's not vanity, it's insecurity and low self esteem. It's what this world does to people, it messes with their heads until they believe they have to look a certain way to be accepted.

because there not happy the way they look or wanna look like someone else . confidence has alot to do with this
