These are people who are highly trained to deal with emergencies and they deserve to be compensated for their expertise. Do you think we should raise taxes to pay for them so emergencies room visits are free? If we did, how full do you think the waiting rooms would be and how long would the wait be? Would anyone go to a GP again?
I'm sorry about your brother, get him to a doctor ASAP, even if you have to pay a lot for it.
