my fish had babys... some of them are fine and swimming about, some of them are layin on the bottom of the breeder net... some seem to have large stomachs? and they are the ones that arnt swimming at all... and...well some of them are jus heads (dead heads obviously)
whats going on?
is this normal???

Dont pull out the ones with big stomachs, they wont die. That is actually part of the egg. Its what they feed off as they grow. It will eventually be consumed by the fish and will become free swimming. Just make sure there is plenty of surface motion as to "tumble" them a bit.

Sounds like your fish ave birth a bit prematurely which isn't all that unusual in a breeder net. Remove the one's on the bottom that are dead and the one's that seem to have a large stomach. Those will die soon anyway. The other should be fine though

its very normal. most baby fish die at the first 3 hours of life and the headless ones have probably been cannabalized by the other babys. if you get somemore babys, dont use a breeding net. get anopther tank so that the baby fish can eat the embryos.
