Usually ladybugs dont become available until late spring. You can check with any local nursery and they should be able to inform you of when they would become available. You can also check this website http://www.aphids.us/aphidcontrol.html , it may give you some insight on getting rid of these malicious insects.
If you would like to go the chemical route look into Safer Soaps. This product sufficates the aphids and uses safe chemicals to keep them away.

Good luck

there are numerous places on the internet you can order from. They'll have all sorts of info on preferd times to us and how many to order.

Not a cure but ladybugs are a tremendous help in the garden, not too much inside the home.

They don't poison and they will not eat your plants
They are predators
If there is prey - they will come!
Sometimes they need a helping hand to get going
Go to someone elses rose garden and ask them - it's a good bet they have some
You'll only need one or two to get going
Once they see what a buffet you've put on for them they won't leave
In fact they will lay eggs like mad if there is plenty of food for their young to eat, like greenfly, aphids
The only thing you have to be careful of is that you don't use pesticides or you'll kill the good bugs along with the bad bugs

Go to gardensalive.com for information about ladybugs. If you like what you read you can then order them through the mail at a reasonable cost.

I don't know if you would be into this, but you can actually buy a ladybug kit, watch them grow, then release them into your garden. If you raise them yourself, they have a tendancy of "staying home" and not flying off to some other garden.
You can buy the kit at thenaturestore.com or probably a garden center near your home. They will not harm your plants if you have aphids, they will only eat them.

They're everywhere in Seattle-we have to vacuum them up every other day. Ladybugs have a secretion that makes them smell horrible to birds so they won't get eaten, it's harmless; but those little beasts have pinchers and like to hold on to you-ouch it feels like a bite. Here's where to buy them:

I used to buy my Lady bugs at a bait shop. If you want them to get rid of the aphids you can always try this. When you mow your lawn take the grass trimmings and sprinkle a layer under the rose bush. I know that seems pretty easy compared to other solutions, but it works like a charm. You won't have any aphids as long as you have a layer of grass trimmings.

contact some local green houses and garden suppliers some breed Lady bugs for people,
also use the water with washing up sope in it (not to much) and put it straight over your roses so it goes on the leaves and flowers that stops aphids and roses don't mind it strangely.
