well it can hurt....but not all people experience the same thing....if you are active it sports....use tampons or even extensive bike riding can tear or stretch your hymen (that is the little piece of skin in your vagina, often called your "cherry") this is what can break and bleed during you first sexual encounter and this is also what can cause you pain.....it didn't hurt ONE bit when i had sex for the first time but everyone is different.....and if you are sexually aroused enough it might now hurt......but just as long as you take it slow and easy and have someone who really cares about you.....then that will minimize the pain...good luck

I don't know if it matters how old you are, you could be 35 and if it is your first few times it is gonna hurt. It isn't like breaking a bone, it doesn't hurt that bad, but it is very uncomfortable and you might cry depending upon your pain tolerance. When you have never had sex before, you vagina is very small and tight and it hurts when something is forced into it, so yes, it will hurt, but if you make sure you are with someone that cares and knows it will hurt and will take it slow, then he can make it more comfortable for you. Please don't get me wrong, I think 14 is way to young and I know you say you are not planning on it, I just don't want people to give me a thumbs down for thinking I am encouraging you. I was 17 when I lost my virginity and I wish I would have waited. It hurt very bad, and it hurt very badly every time because he didn't care about my feelings and my pain, only his physcial needs.

Yes horribly. It will hurt so bad you will want to shrivel up and die. Sex continues to hurt until you are married and old.
I'm kidding, but seriously, at 14 you have better things to worry about than sex. You are not old enough to make a commitment to a person for life, and that is what sex is. Talk to your parent about your decision to have sex before you do it. Also, if you are asking this question then obviously you are not educated enough about sex yet to know the consequences and risks. Wait until you're older. And, don't say "But he loves me" because if it is really love then you can both wait until you're older.

Sex for the first is uncomfortable at any age. My first time did hurt. Enough that I made him stop. The first time and the second and the third. I'm not trying to be mean or scare you. It honestly can be painful the first time. And I agree you should wait, until you are mature enough and in a commited relationship. And be smart-be safe!! :)

Um, first of all why would you have sex when you were 14 if you are asking questions like this than you definately are not ready. Go do some research, and don't do it when you think you are in love either because you will regret it, speaking from experience here. Yes, you need to slow down and care enough about yourself to wait, I mean I know you're probably not going to listen to me, but at least do a little more research on it before you do it, find out the risks and what you need to do once you do become sexually active to prevent anything from happening.

Katrina.. don't be even thinking of going there... at 14 you got your whole life ahead of you...
and believe me if you decide to disregard the potential for physical pain... then do not disregard the hurt of emotional pain as this is a real hell and can scar forever....
there are also so many easily contracted infections which can ruin your life and health totally... so darling don't become a statistic out of curiousity it just isn't worth it.. live your life free and happy.... keep your youth and cherish it...

from personal experience, its gonna hurt the first and second times, i have a low tolerance for pain so it might not hurt as much as u think. I understand not talking to your mom about it, i feel the same way with my mom but eventually if something goes wrong u might have to tell her. u never really know until u do it yourself.

If your virginity is still intact than odds are sex is going to hurt no matter what age you are. I was 16 when I lost my virginity and to be honest it hurt, than again position and size does matter when it comes to the amount of pain you might be in. Every woman is different I have friends that felt no pain and other friends who cried.

are you a boy or a girl?
if you are a girl...the major thing to having the least painful intercourse the first time it to make sure that you are very well lubricated...if your hymen is still intact...then you may have more pain, because as the boy pushes his penis in for the first time, this membrane has to tear to allow his penis to enter the vagina...you may or may not have one because of inserting tampons or other things into your vagina..or could have torn it on a bike or horse... (you get the idea)...but make sure that there is enough foreplay...if there is not, you will be dry and he will have a hard time putting his penis in and it will hurt you...
if you are a boy, make sure that she is well lubricated...may sure that her vagina is dripping with fluid to make the insertion of your penis comfortable...you may also want to use som KY jelly to help if you cant seem to make her very wet...please plan on using a condom (be smart and safe) and do not use any vaseline or other lubricants as they can damage condoms and she could get pregnant or your could swap STD's
if you are circumcised then you may not have any pain...but if you are not, make sure that your foreskin will glide easily over the head of your penis (glans)...if is does, then you may be ok...if it does not, then youmay have some discomfort as this is necessary for the penis to glide in and out of her vagina easily
good luck
