It depends on the species. Elephants for example, reabosorb their endometrium during their oestral cycle. Most mammals do.
"Many menstruate covertly, reabsorbing the uterine lining after it is shed so that bleeding is not externally visible.
So I guess it's just a technicality. They do shed the endometrium, but it's not externally visible. So in that sense they don't have a "period".

Animals have estrus. The difference in the two is that a period in a woman is a cleansing of the uterus to flush unfertilized eggs and uterine lining. Estrus in animals is when they are fertile and ready to breed. Dogs bleed during this time-their "heat" cycle. Cats produce a fluid but not like dogs. If an animal completes estrus without fertilization, the egg(s) are reabsorbed into the body instead of being flushed out.

Only the ones with a true uterus have period. This is probably a third of all mammals. The rest do not have a endometrial lining to sloth off.
This does not mean that the other animals don't have cycles. Almost all vertebrae animals ovulate (spit out eggs) in a cyclic way (most do not bleed though).

Everyone else has so far answered the question, but no one has really given any examples. If you have a pet dog (female), and the dog is not fixed, it will go into "heat." This is infact the menstrual cycle of the female dog, so yes, other animals do have periods.

Yes they do, usually in connection with their heat they are in , in order to get pregnant. Dogs have this and all variety of dog-like animals may as well.
Most will have a discharge that is the spent lining of the womb coming away, but not all are red blood, but we share this with dogs.
If others are known for sure let us know .
What about monkeys do they too? Let me look it up. This is an interesting
question.
