ive been told by my doctor that i only have a 25% chance of becoming pregnant on my own and i was wondering if that was right

Yes it is right..For an average couple with no fertility problems it is about a 25% chance each month for conception. If you are trying to get pregnant you may want to use ovulation tests to see when your best chances are each month...Good Luck~~

I've heard that a healthy fertile couple has about a 30% chance each month of becoming pregnant. Now thats different than saying you only have a 25% chance of conceiving, unless he meant each month. Do you have a health issue that would make it more difficult for you to conceive?

A woman without PCOS has a 25% chance each month, with PCOS your chances are even less.
But there is a shot, so good luck. Enjoy, have sex everyother day.

That percentage of probability is different for every person, so there is no way to know if it's right for you.
At least it is a 1 in 4 chance he is giving you, which is better than no chance at all.

Sounds about right to me.
How long have you been "trying" (or as we like to call it "not avoiding")?
Don't stress out! The more you stress out, the more difficult it may be for you to become pregnant.
There are Ovulation Kits ~ if you've been "trying" for a while, pick one up at Wal-Mart or your local Pharmacy and follow the directions exactly.

I would say your doctor is a quack, "on your own" you have zero chance of becoming pregnant! :D
