W=23 H=8 A=1 T=20 add them WHAT= 52
do that with the rest of the sentence... the word sequence equals 89

OK.. so you -24 +5 +30 +10 -50 +23 I'm not sure but if you add the subtractions which is 24+ 50 = 74 and the additions which is 5+30+10+23=68 and you minus 76-68 you get 6 , and since the subtraction number was higher you -6 and get 50.

List them and put the differences between two successive numbers out to the side. If there is no pattern, do the same with the list you just made.
If there still is no pattern, think of every way the next number could come from the previous one. List these out to the side. (Make a new list or it gets crowded.)

I see the pattern...it could be 22, 31, or 13. and the one after that could be 66, 75, or 84, etc.
