Zebras actually ARE white with black stripes. I'm a science teacher and saw an article the National Geographic Kids magazine this month...they showed a zebra born with white stripes and it looked like a white horse. Hope this helps!

I believe this is an old joke . . . asked to God . . . it went like this:

A man dies and goes to heaven. St. Peter meets him at the Pearly Gates and tells him that he gets to meet God and ask him one question that has always bugged him. The man asks God "Is a zebra white with black stripes or black with white stripes?" God answers, "he is what he is."

The man just stared at God, then turned to St. Peter and said, "What does that mean? That's no answer!"

St. Peter replied, "Of course it's an answer. The zebra is white with black stripes."

The man again looked confused, "How do you get that from that dumb answer?"

St. Peter replied, "Well, if he was black with white stripes, God would have said 'he am what he am."

Works for me.

Yes. It will depend on your point of view. Positive people will say white with black stripes while negative people will say black with white stripes.
