soprano will be higher pitched alto will be lower tenor will be lower than alto and baritone will be lower pitched than tenor...also a size difference can be expected

The obvious difference is in size. Soprano is smallest, and looks like a golden clarinet. Altos or tenors are what are most common, and when you think of a saxophone, that's the type you'd think of. A baritone is the largest and is easily set apart by its looped neck.

Range is another difference. The high/low pitch of each sax is determined by size- soprano highest, bari lowest.

A third difference is what key the sax is played in. I believe a soprano is in the key of B flat (as it's the only one I haven't playest I'm not 100% sure). Altos and Baritones are in E flat and Tenor is in B flat. Hope that helps!!!

these names have to do with choral singing. Soprano is the highest women's voice, alto the lowest. Tenor is the highest man's voice, bass the lowest. sometimes there will be splits in the parts, soprano 1 and 2, with the 2nd sopranos filling in more of the harmonies, Alto 1 and 2, etc. In solo singing, there are a couple more category names thrown in, just to cover all sorts. Notably mezzo-soprano and baritone, which are mid-range between the highs and lows.

Everything, the size, the pitch and the key.

Soprano is the smallest, it looks more like a clarinet, it has no bell curve. If you are familiar with Kenny G, that is what he plays. It has the highest pitch.

Alto is the one that most people are familiar with, your sterotypical saxaphone.

Teno, looks like an alto but about 2 times bigger, my favorite out of the four. It has a lower pitch.

Baritone sax is HUGE, abour 3 times bigger than the alto sax. It is the kind that Lisa Simpson plays, it is very heavy and takes alot of air to play and has the lowest pitch.

A soprano is the highest in tone and is sort of like a brass clarinet, an alto is like a tenor only without the curve on its neck and it is shorter, a baritone is the lowest in tone and bigger than the rest.

Sopranino is the smallest and highest pitched Sax (I also think it has a different key... not sure). They get bigger and lower in pitch through Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone.

The saxophone was originally patented as two families, each consisting of seven instruments. The "orchestral" family consisted of instruments in the keys of C and F, and the "military band" family in E♭ and B♭. Each family consisted of sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass and contrabass, although some of these were never made; Sax also planned--but never made--a subcontrabass (Bourdon) saxophone.

well the way you listed it is exacly how it goes alto being the highest pitch and baritone being the lowest, also the lower they are the bigger the instrument and thus the lower it is the harder it is to play. most high schools require you to start out with an alto and learn the basics, the baritone is my favorite sounding instrument out of any instrument, hope this helps
