30.
After that their fertility is severely affected and it shows in her physical appearance, warning men to avoid her:
"about 9 percent of recognized pregnancies for women aged 20 to 24 ended in miscarriage. The risk rose to about 20 percent at age 35 to 39, and more than 50 percent by age 42."
Birth defects, especially those involving chromosome number and arrangement, also increase with the age of the mother. According to the March of Dimes, "At age 25, a woman has about a 1-in-1,250 chance of having a baby with Down syndrome; at age 30, a 1-in-1,000 chance; at age 35, a 1-in-400 chance; at age 40, a 1-in-100 chance; and at 45, a 1-in-30 chance."
Multiplying the conception rate times the miscarriage rate times the birth defect rates should yield a rough likelihood of a healthy birth:
30-year-olds: .91 x .85 x .999 = 77%
35-year-olds: .84 x .80 x .9975 = 67%
40-year-olds: .64 x .55 x .99 = 35%
Basically up until 25 - 30 there is a good chance of healthy births to that woman. After that point, at 30 the risk increases, at 35 there are close to 50/50 odds of a healthy birth only.
Beyond 40 and we're pretty much talking the women responsible for the people with down syndrome we see walking around.

I agree with the rest of the answers here.A woman from the age of 18 onwards as far i'am concerned is in the prime and should be chased and made love to till she actually dies.
I have seen so many unhappy relationships around me but i have also seen a few women who have been mothers, wives, lovers, professionals, leaders, activists, daughters, sisters, friends and on and on ........no stopping here.
But the best example is a woman in love who is secure and loved and cared by her man because she beleives that he does .
The vibes that this type exudes lingers on forever in her.
Its a sight to behold.

At the early 40's, the woman has the best of both categories.... she is still beautiful, and has some great experience about life... Ok speaking about physics... I'd say at 50 the way goes downwards... but, a woman is always beautiful and perfect... just for being a woman.

What a silly question.
A woman is never past her prime if she is still a happy, thinking, productive human being.
A better question would be:
Why is it that even if a man lives to be 95, he is never considered "past his prime"?

As long as you can go and do whatever you want. Fix yourself up pretty, and you are a happy, busy person; you will never be past your prime. Don't listen to that old age talk. Keeping busy and helping those who need it will keep you young.
God bless us all.

I suppose when she lets other people tell her that she is past her prime. I'm 44 and I never even think about the question.

When she is no longer super cool.
Just kidding, in what aspect? Dating, career, reproductively?
Dating: As long as she is willing
Career: Not able to keep up with modern applications
Reproduction: well, more of generalization and depends on her specific genetics and whether or not she is willing to give science bwahhahaha a try

A woman is only past her prime when she feels that she has nothing left to offer society. In other words, at death, because even in her waning hours, her existence offers comfort to someone, no matter how minute a contribution it seems.
