I have a 2004 GMC Savana and the low fuel light came on even though the Gas tank is full. I tried disconecting the Negitive cable on my Battery to reset the computer but no luck. Any idea whats next. Oh , and it just went out of warranty a couple of months ago. Thanks for any ideas

A bad fuel gauge sending unit or sensor could be giving you this problem. A trip to your dealership to run a check on the computer and that sensor should not cost you a lot, while the actual job of replacing that sensor might be a few hundred dollars depending on the region you are in.
Good luck.

the floating level arm on your fuel pump could be stuck and not reading right on your gas gauge , problem is you have to take the gas tank down to check this, have a mechanic check this out. good luck!

older vehicle i would say float stuck....but yours should be electronic. Maybe find the fuse for fuel pump? pull it after turning key on but not starting.
