I just recently installed Windows Vista on my Hp pc that i bought a few months back for quite alot: about 1800 BUCKS. Well after installing Vista i encountered many bugs and problems and did not want it so now i am trying to renistall Xp but i do not know how. I do not have the Windows Xp cd, my pc did not come with it so usually if i had a problem i could have used system recovery to renistall windows Xp but it wont work with Vista. Also i have created a partition before installing Vista but it had deleted everything including my Xp files on another partition . So when i used System recovery it put all the files of Xp back to the second partition and i do not how to boot into them. What to do now?

$1800 for an OS? SHEESH! Hate to think what you paid for your computer!!!!!!

Anyway, you're in deep trouble. there is NO way to UNinstall Vista. You HAVE to have your Windows XP disc according to Microsoft's website link...

Check it out.......

Well you can you the hp recovery cd. It will delete all your files so you will have to back it up. This will and should bring your computer back to the way you bought it.Another thing you can do is system restore.

1.Click Start Menu, Programs
2.Open Accessories, Open System Tools
3.Click System Restore. Restore a day or so before you installed vista.

Oh dear sounds expensive, you could use a.........nope, i got nothing,.
looks like time to buy another copy of XP, or download a cracked one. i would have just stuck with XP wait a while b4 leaping on the vista band wagon.

Though i have vista and im thinking its sweet right now, but not on the computer i use all the time

Call HP. It might cost you about 20 bucks for a disk, but you'll stop having to figure things out at that point!

All software companies must provide you with a disk of your OS. They can now charge for it, and it SUCKS, but it's worth it. Also, Dell, HP, and Gateway use proprietary OS disks. You might find one on ebay.
