If you are playing an original Xbox game that happens to be backwards compatible and supports Xbox Live, like Halo 2, then yes.

yes as long as the game is backwards compatible. You'd never know that the person is playing on an xbox unless you ask them. Just as they wouldn't know you're on a 360. You can even system link a 360 with an xbox assuming the game is backwards compatible and the connection is right.

Yes you can, but only the original xbox games that are live enabled.

You can't have one xbox 360 version of the game against the original xbox version of the game.

If you play halo 2 on a 360 and your friend is on a regular xbox you can play with them on live.
