I reckon we could be on for a few more natural disasters and diseases to wipe a few million out, its the natural way of things. Either that or in 100 years they'll be setting up home on the moon.

There is no way the planet could sustain the population growth rate. Unimpeded, could easily exceed 50 billion, but...rising population means more demands on food and livestock, resulting in more damage to environment, more land clearing, and more energy consumption. The changing weather conditions will hamper crop seasons. Much fertile land will become dust bowls. Huge famines. Aids will spread through 3rd world. The elite will fight to protect there lot. War inevitably will breakout over the last oil reserves located between Russia and Saudi. Superpowers will lock horns. More than likely Nuclear war will ensue. Population will be reduced considerably and the super volcano in Yellowstone park will probably blow...especially if a nuke was targeted at LA. Pretty grim future really, but it is always the same story. When a power, or civilisation or empire or even bacteria explodes out of control it is heading for destruction. The population in 100 years time may be a few hundred thousand as a result.

By the year 2030 - 2050 there will certainly be well over 10 billion people on earth (estimate depending on whether the population carrys on the way its going now) in a hundred years its said to start decreasing... not sure yet just what the approximate figures are but.. it can either be extremly high, or quite balanced..
and think about it.. the population isnt going down anytime soon... 10,000 years ago the world population was 5000, in the seventies it was only 3 billion, now its almost 7 billion... its going up about a billion every decade... i dont thinks thats gunna slow down very quickly but it might if we destroy the enviroment and all our food supply.. theres also desise and war..

Yes the world is overpopulated. Unfortunately the over population problems seems to lean towards the third world peoples and those in the US that are uneducated. The results of too many third world people who can't take care of themselves will cause problems for the developed countries and use up all of our resources. With the lower birthrates for the upper classes and with the better educated people having less children, the lower class will take over and the whole world will become a third world country in the future. The upper classes will have died off and whats left (the lower classes will die of disease and starvation because they don't how to stand on their own.

I've heard one researcher say that 'all studies indicate that every food resource in the world will be needed just to feed China by the year 2020'. If this is accurate, I hope that people start using their imaginations to solve these population issues.

Don't think there will be a problem.
Global warming is looming so is Bird Flu.
Then of course there are the idiots that keep wanting to kill people, and one day some lunatic might just hit that doom button.
Do you really believe we will ever get to the stage of overpopulation. I don't at all.

I don't think there will be that many of us left by then. The armageddon wars and comet attackes would have happened by then. There will only be 30% of human population living on earth.

Yes I believe it is, there is vary little standing space in Europe, and the middle east, and the north American Continent is filling up fast to, It is immigration that is causing that to happen, and in another hundred years it will literally be standing room only if we continue to leave our doors open, over population creates sickness, decease, and violence, and this is how mankind will destroy himself.

yes it is. it is a difficult problem both now and obviously in the future. The truth is that people, of all nations, but especially certain specific ones, need to be motivated/encouraged to have just a few kids each.

Just have a look at China...rampant pollution, wildlife disappearing. We will have thousands, if not millions fewer species in 100 years unless we do something drastic.
