Has anyone robbed a dumpster. Like Hostess or another place. Me and my friends are planning to check hostess out we hear stuff like they throw boxes of cup cakes and twinkies away. What do you think? Would you do it?

Dumpster diving in food places is dicey since some places will dump their coffee ground and other crap into it as 'organic' composting.

I don't recommend it, you'd have better luck offering to buy 2/1 or trying for a deal at the end of the night with the manager for the food before they throw it out.

I have never dumpster dived for food but I have HOPPER SHOPPED for furniture (office refits are best) until one day I was scrounging around and I pulled a plastic bag away off a broken chair. The bag split open and out fell a heap of used syringes. Never again after that.

No I would not do it. Now if it were a bank and they were throwing away money maybe but I'm not going diving into a dumpster for a twinkie. What would I tell my friends about how I got my concussion on the lid of the dumpster?

Yes.
I don't to often go for food but when I walk past a dumpster I always look inside.
Sometimes I find stuff that I have sold.
Once me and my boy found a half bag of star burst candy scattered on the road and we stopped and picked them up and ate them.
We also found a broken watermelon that must have fell of a truck that we picked up and ate.
Best Mellon we ever ate.

My dad has dumpster dived but only for scraps to feed our 10 hogs, and all of our chickens, geese, turkies, ducks, guinea fowls, etc.
They do through away alot of good stuff on the day of its expiration rate. But from what I've heard, only, like 3% has actually gone bad !
I dunno,I've never done it myself.
Ew.

i'm unable to trust the flaws that persons throw away. issues that do not have any further some thing incorrect with them. I do recycle each and everything. Cardboard, plastic, tin cans, etc. i found an finished bag of apples with no longer some thing incorrect with them. i found lettuce that i gave to my guinea pig. i found an fairly cool leather-depending bracelet that apparently lost some thing that grow to be on the right. I placed a dragonfly attraction and tremendous glued it and it is gorgeous I actually have discovered 5 coupons for excellent Clips for less expensive hair cuts. So I gave them out to my kinfolk. i found a stuff Santa Claus that grow to be beautiful..I gave it to my grand daughter and she is taking it to mattress with her. there are a number of of more beneficial treasures.

Not for twinkies, but, if Gucci or D&G starts throwing stuff out, I'll make the dive.

If I was too poor to buy Twinkies, I would.

Poor people need treats too.
