Dont know but its better 4 their vision if they have a clear one, in the game NCAA 07 u can only choose dark clear or some yellowish one.

I don't know for sure in the NCAA, but we don't allow it in high school so that if a player gets hurt, the officials can see through his face mask easier withiout touching him to determine if he's unconscious or not.

My understanding is because if a player is knocked out the trainers wouldnt be able to tell without taking his helmet off which can be dangerous. They need a clear view to his eyes.

i have a poster of lendale white and he has a red visor on his helmet and u are allowed to where black one because LT and ed reed also . actually clinton portis also wore a red tinted visor and he wore a mirrored visor

If by colored you mean blue or green then it is all about vison, but besides that they can wear black(LenDale White did) or Clear

they can, its more of a coaches decision because he might think its acting like they are better than the rest. and the coach might not like that
