I have read a few reviews about bikes coming out of China and they are mixed.
There are some that are using Honda and suzuki motors and brakes in their own frames but the finish is lousy
Paint jobs and finishes are poor and the seats are like rock. The designs are also very sixties.
then there are others mainly scooters that are all chinese, cheap as chips , but they look like it as well.
Handling and stopping power is average and long term comfort is hard to get.
In reality there is no such thing as a cheap bike, you will get value for your money from a chinese bike, (i.e. Acheap Chinese bike will run, handle, and look like a cheap chinese bike and will do so for a long time)
if you are looking for Jap quality at a chinese price you will not get it.
Chinese bikes are massed produced for the masses and usually to a fairly ordinary standard to meet low costs.
Give them 10 years of development and I believe this will change.

Some of them are better than others and some are very good. However, if you decide that you will give one a try, don't buy from an on-line dealer find a dealer with an established shop. If you buy on-line you will receive little to no warranty or parts service. Of course whatever you buy, longevity is based on maintenance, that and not beating the hell out of it and crashing!

Everything being said here so far is EXACTLY what was said of Japanese bikes when they first came here, and now look... Hondas pretty much slap the snot out of any Harley...
Take Hyosung, for example... They are the CONTRACTORS who have been building Suzuki sv650 motors FOR Suzuki. They are not using Suzuki motors, Suzuki is using Hyosung motors. Alll Hyosung did was put it in a new frame. Sure they are not as good in fit and finish, but for the money they are a good buy. Unless you have political views that are anti-Chinee, I would say get one...

They are reverse-engineered 70s model Hondas and Yamahas made out of crap material by, essentially, unpaid labor. As far as I'm concerned, they're just more Chinese crap to sell in Walmart.

no, If you pay 1600.00 dollars for a bike from china, that costs 3500.00 from japan, that says it all. You get what you pay for.
