Baby Signs is the best book out there. A great board book for you and baby with the best and most useful beginner signs is Baby Signs for Mealtime. Your baby will likely be ready to learn some signs when s/he starts to wave bye-bye. Good luck to you!

There is a Baby Eistine (spelling ?) DVD. It's great. I bought it for my daughter over a year ago. I will be using it again when my baby is 6 months old. Good luck and have patience.

I don't know about books but a friend of my told me about the Signing Times that are videos your child can watch and learn. My friend gave me a copy of them, I haven't watched them yet as my son is only 3 weeks old. But my friend's 3 year old daughter watches them on a regular basis.
