I think it's great! He's an actor and has a right to pursue whatever genre he chooses to show the world his talent. He's a very funny man and quite possibly will blow us away playing a serious role. I remember when Robin Williams was put under the same type of scrutiny for trying something different, and he is one of the best there is, serious or otherwise! Give Jim a chance to see what he can do before making a judgement, you may be pleasantly surprised!

Yeah, it's kind of wierd. The Truman show had funny parts, but wasn't really a comedy. Also, have you ever seen The Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind? That one is twisted, kind of like The ButterFly Effect w/ Ashton Kutcher. Definately NOT a comedy.
I think Jim Carrey is the funniest, Robin Williams is a close second, and Jim Bleushi is a distant third.
