i like dogs. Some cats are ok... but in general i dont really like 'em cuz cats think, and that kinda scares me sometimes. Dogs just love, i think they're better people animals too, especially around young children.

Dogs and Cats have their own personalities so they can be different at times. Most dogs and cats are kind, but if you abuse the animal they will not have anything to do with you. Cats are very independent and that is good for some owners. Depending on what you are looking for will decide whether a dog or a cat is good for you. Cats on the other hand are low maintenance and they are in my opinion low maintenance. As far as you children a dog would be more useful because they can guard the child when they are in danger.

I prefer Dogs. You can pretty much tell a dog what to do and train them. Dogs will go for a walk with you, they usually don't care what kind of food you feed them. As long as you are nice to them, for the most part they just love you. Dogs really are low maintenance. I think that Dogs are the Men in the animal world. - As long as you love them and feed them, they are happy.
Cats are the Women of the animal world. They are finicky, they want love, on their terms. If they want to go outside, they want to go out the door they choose. They want to be in the middle of what ever you are doing and to be the center of attention. They are always cleaning themselves. They pretty well rule the home., The humans are there to serve the cat, that is their only purpose. Never think about changing the food of your cat, they will only eat what they want to. They really are high maintenance.
Yeah, I pretty well prefer dogs- they are much more fun.

I love both but I'd rather have a dog. I'm stayying with my bf right now and he has 2 cats inside and 1 small dog. The 2 cats come when im sleeping and stick their bums in my face when im sleeping or put their tail in my face. They also leave hairs all over the bed so im constantly cleaning it. I still love cats but I think dogs are better pets. Plus litter box = ew and smelly

I'd have to say... dogs. They really are more loving, as some of the others have said. It seems like they care about their humans more than most cats do. Often, when you're feeling sad or something and you feel there's really nobody you can talk to, your dog will try to comfort you. They really will! They can kinda sense those things. (I know from personal experience.)

I love cats and dogs, but I prefer cats because they're more independent and can think for themselves. Don't get me wrong about dogs though, I have 4!!!.... but they demand a lot of attention, more than cats at least, and they're very dependent on their owners. But at least they're not lazy bums and you can go running with them, unlike cats. I guess it depends on the person. Having a dog is like taking care of another person. Cats require the basics: bed to sleep on, food, water, and attention when they want it. =)

I have to say, I like dogs better than cats. Maybe it's because I grew up in a family that supported dogs more than cats...I don't know why.

I love both dogs and cats. Dogs are good protectors and are always loyal to their owners. Cats are good at taking care of themselves and do not need a lot of attention plus they scare away mice!

I'd have to say I like them both.
Ive always been around cats, and all of them have had such interesting personalities and they've always been my buddy. Those seem to have that "I dont care about anyone but me" attitude, they show love unconditionally, and seem to come around when you need a friend that wont judge.
I like dogs because they're my compainion. My beach buddy, co-pilot, unconditional friend, and guardian. Where else can you find someone so happy to see you when you come home?

I agree with you, dogs are my favorite. They are loving towards their owners and they are more easily trained than cats. Cats are OK, but I prefer dogs as pets.
