Cheer me up!! Please!!!?

Question

I'm feeling kinda depressed and lonely, long story short my friends are all off at one of their houses after a battle of the bands type thingy and I wasn't alowed to go, so I'm stuck here. I feel like a total loser. please help!

They did invite me but my dad said I couldn't go.... and the bands didn't suck my friends' band won!!!

Fay you should cheer yourself up by putting on a Mighty Boosh DVD and spending the night laughing your head off!! You have plenty of time in your life to enjoy yourself going out so make the best of your night in by spoiling yourself rotten...and don't feel lonely look at how many people are replying :-)

Wow, your story is *so* common, so you have lots of company|

It seems that vast numbers of good people are being purified right now|

And purification *always* involves suffering| - often very deep suffering|


Have you ever heard of someone called St. John of the Cross?

He was a Catholic monk who lived in the 16th century|

He was one of the greatest intellects of all time, and is considered by many as the greatest mystical theologian in the Church of all time|

He wrote a book called "Dark Night of the Soul." (which many people are going through now)|


He describes *two* phases of the Dark Night|

The first phase is the *dark night of the senses,* and the second phase is the *dark night of the spirit|*

In the first night of the senses, the person is purified of all sensual attachments - like lust| This always calls for deep suffering on the part of the person, like a refiner's fire|

In the second night of the spirit, the person is purified of the deep ego that lies at the core of the soul. Now this purification is painful beyond all compare| You think that you are totally undone, that you are going to hell, and that you have no goodness or value in you| God devastates the intellect and the will, and deprives the soul of active virtue|

But God has complete control of the process and is absloutely careful never to load the soul with too much|

But God then deems that the purification process is complete, and then takes the soul out of the fire|

It then is then capable of experiencing a true and a pure happiness that nothing can again touch|


BTW, St. John of the Cross was no mere arm-chair theorist|

He had his own tremendeous cross to bear|

He tried to reform the corrupt Catholic religious orders at that time, but for his efforts he got thrown into a dingy freezing cell in the middle of winter, and was beaten daily by a guard|

But he grew invincibly strong under that treatment to bring us some of the greatest mystical theology that anyone has ever produced|

Well thats not cool that your friends didn't invite you. You should find yourself new friends or like start talking to new girls and then youll keep meeting more. Your not a loser their the ones who are selfish thinking of only themselves. Don't worry you shouldn't feel left out go have fun doing something else like calling another friend you have that doesn't hang with that group. Or why not wreck their lil party, kick those girls asses! LOL :) You should ! lol no no don't fight but I hope you feel better, maybe you should go rent movies, or your fav and have like this lil house party alone with food, sweets and fun movies. Yeah rent some funny movies, or titanic the best movie ever! :) feel better!

Don't be sad, you can do a lot of things at home, like watch a really funny movie or cook something, and remember that you'll be able to do a lot of fun things in your life! This get together with all of your friends won't last forever. You can make something better of your life instead of just sitting around doing nothing. Smile because you know you ROCK!!!

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with those expensive double-pane energy efficient kind.

But this week I got a call from the contractor complaining that his
work had been completed a whole year ago and I had yet to pay for them.

Boy oh boy, did we go around!

Just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid. So, I proceeded to tell him just what his fast-talking sales guy had told me last year... that in one year the windows would pay for themselves.

There was silence on the other end of the line so I just hung up and I haven't heard back.

Guess I must have won that silly argument!

Eee lass, your never alone when there are people of like mind. I'm not one of them but felt I had to answer your question. Tomorrow is another day when a big turnaround might just appear and the ones that failed to invite you will regret it.

Sounds like you're jealous and want to get even. If they dont want to include you fine. Find your own happiness without them. Meet a great person to share your lifes pleasures with. Meantime pass the time asking questions on Yahoo. Good luck.
