It seems, at times, that the far left embraces an ideology that has little room for any other points of view. I have read, and heard many hostile, if not hatful and demeaning opinions voiced by the far left of others who question their view, a view in my opinion, that on occasion, picks and chooses facts that only support one view. Is that healthy for the development of fresh ideas?

You must be selectively reading. Because both sides are bad. You must be a right winger.

To answer your question, no...it is not healthy for the development of fresh ideas.

But to be fair, you need to look at both sides with non-partisan eyes. If you do, you will see that both the far right and the far left are "mean" and "low class" in their views. And as far as picking facts that only support their view...both sides share that distinction equally. To call the dems anti-American is hateful and hostile...simply because they don't share the views of the Reps. To call Reps dumb rednecks is equally nasty.

But honestly, as a non-partisan person, I can honestly say I read alot more hate from Republicans than I do Democrats. And I guess it seems a little more hostile, as it is coming from the so called Religious Right.

Wow, this question sounds familiar!

You're right that for the development of fresh ideas, we need open dialogue without all the attacks. The fact that these attacks come from the extremes on both sides--right and left--doesn't mean that either side has more of a right to make them. Let's all try to stop throwing around blanket insults about people who don't agree with us, and instead look at how we can solve some of the differences.

Because it's all they have.

When was the last time you ever heard a Democrat with an actual plan to move a program forward? (I'll give them points for raising the minimum wage, at least it resembles a plan to do something. I hope that's not the only card in their deck??)

As a result of having no intelligent or rational plans, they MUST resort to something, and that something always seems to be emotional blackmail--calling everyone racists, bigots, homophobes, and cruel toward the poor.

Another good example is what they were doing in the 2004 election and thereafter. They started saying that Bush and Rumsfeld were cutting veteran benefits to get everyone to think that they secretly hated veterans. I laughed my petookis off! I was just getting out of the Navy (Jan 2005) and I knew first hand how veteran benefits are given away like candy and you have to get a catalog just to have an idea of everything available to vets!

Liberals are simply shameless in their readiness to lie and belittle anyone in their path. They are unworthy of office in America. Let them eat French Fries.

we are no longer. that is not any longer conflict of words that is at issue... conflict of words is effective. besides the undeniable fact that, at the same time as people initiate declaring such issues as "liberals are terrorist sympathizers" or such issues as that, assume a reaction... edit: "Its looks at ties that no you are able to question the ideology of the some distance left without some negitive reaction. Is there now no room espressing opions. i understand Stalin had a issue with this. is this the position it is headed?" very well, this can be a perfect get mutually of why issues bypass in the incorrect route. comparing present day day American liberals to Stalin is sure to get a reaction. in reality, that is honest recreation to call your question hypocritical at this aspect given your rationalization.
