Since it may be possible to restore files that have been removed from the recycle bin, where did these files go? They must still be on the hard disk somewhere!

I tell everyone the same thing, but can never actually explain the method of doing so. It is possible to turn back the history of your computer to a point in time equal to or prior to the day upon which you believe you actually erased whatever files. I am so sorry for not knowing the method but a friend of mine uses this method continuously on my machine to recover stuff I have so stupidly removed. It can be done, you just just have to know the proper person who has the knowhow to do it. My friend has always said that there is nothing that can be completely removed from a computer short of removing and replacing its harddrive! My friend has been messing with computers for about 40 years!!

Hi,
Just press Shift + Delete to delete them then defag your Hard drive which will remove the File ID, you can still get them back but you will have to be really clever to do so.

Yes, if you want to make sure they're completely destroyed you need something like Eraser (www.eraser.com) yo do a DOD-level wipe on the free disk space.
