Why doesn't America have real sports?

Question

Thats right you heard me american football, basket ball, base ball, are just a poor mans rugby, netball, and rounder, note two out of three are girls sports and you have majority of men playing them, and american football you wear body armour. Is it cause your ancestours suck at the sports everyone else plays so they invented they're own that aren't original so no one else would play and then no one would beat them at it, and why the hell call it the world seris when no other nations play?

The people who mentioned hockey are right that is a good sport, an we don't all play croque and fox hunting but at least they are original.

I'm really sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone it was just meant to be some friendly banter I have obviously made a mistake in the wording of the question and, well, the subject, and I have no disrespect for any of the athletes of these sports or their fans.
I want to live in america because I like the country and to be honest I really hate the one I live in now. I think before I write an answer next time.

I refuse to have my country judged against someone who calls football pads "body armour". Why do you care about the sports that Americans play, when you not even from this country?

I guess you feel the need to critisize our sports against yours, because you know that every other aspect of America is better.

If you really meant it as a joke, just know there are a lot of people from other countries that are like that (judgemental without having the right to be).

My great aunt taught Gym in billings Montana for 40 years. You dressed out and you participated regardless of gender, she didn’t care if you were black, blue white green man or woman, her job was to make you exercise, get in shape and interact with the other students. There were no clicks or gangs in this school, because everyone interacted together and everyone was paired with someone else in class, on reports, assignments, you never had the same partner twice, and you didn’t get the chance to feel like an outcast because everyone participated. Now, that was gym, when it came to team sports, you either sink or swim based on your skill, ability and determination. Making the team was a privilege, not a right. Due to the rules in the 70’sWomen were even allowed on the football team, but most didn’t even bother to tryout for anything other than kicker because there was no favoritism, not male vs, female standard, there was just the standard, and not even my 215 pound lumberjack of a great aunt wanted to get pounded into the turf by an offensive lineman of a regular basis. School was more fun before the libs stepped in and made it safe and user friendly.

I have nothing against Rugby, but those guys would be in the NFL making millions if they had a tiny amount of the athletic ability of a NFL athlete. In fact the only Rugby crossovers are punters, the biggest ******* on the field. The sport is fun if you are drunk and goofing off, but isn't that what Europe is all about anyway? Getting drunk and playing with men?

I agree with you completely. I live in America and am disgusted at the sports. Personally I would like to see more Polo and Rugby, they are more entertaining. What you will find are that those with lower intellect have a tendency to Finding pleasure is simple, idiotic things. This could explain why Americans are so obsessed with these sports. (after all American education seems to be becoming an oxy-moron). Good luck trying to reduce their ignorance and arrogance, I have tried and Americans are just not open to more intellectually stimulating events.

You're forgetting that football is the ONLY sport that is limited to Americans.

Soccer IS played in the US, and the youth STILL are in soccer leagues.

Soccer is boring. Hockey is the BEST! I don't care about baseball (YAWN), golf, basketball or tennis, they are boring too. Football is cool if you can watch it live. English sports are the lamest, like croquet? LOL! Gimmie a break! How boring! And cricket? Ha! That's as boring as baseball. Except for Hockey, there aren't many interesting sports.

They are real sports and real athletes. Who do you think are and where are you from MARS. These Ladies and Gentlemen work hard on a daily basis to accomplish what they do best. Every sport requires different training. Why are you complaining if you don't enjoy it don't watch or listen on the T.V. or radio. first of all look in a dictionary second of all soccer is one of the worlds most well known sports and there isnt a lot of contact in soccer. And out ancestors are from all over the world. this country isnt that old
