Marshmallows make perfect sense actually, they're nice and puffy, so it doesn't hurt their hands when they have to catch the baseball. Now, baseball players who wear nutella on their hands.. they're just plain silly!

I think they are wearing marshmellows in their pants cause it sure looks a little tight on some of them right there.

No. It's perfectly natural, they absorb the blow of a baseball to the head, and if the bat spontaneously bursts into flames, instant smores!
