I neatly place the wires along the sides of each other and use braided sleeving. You can try electrical tape to wrap them, velco straps, electronic wire ties, rubberbands. Dont use bread ties they can be dangerous. You should keep audio cables away from power cords. You can insulate them with fish tank tubing, it comes in a variety of diameters. Check out your local Lowes or Home depot! The site below is what I recommend. Dont use staples, metal is a conductor, besides it can be an electrical hazard.

Interconnects and speaker cables should be relaxed, undisturbed and away from power cords for best sound. If powercords and signal cables have to intersect they should at an "X" to minimize magnetic interference. I would just use wire ties on the power cords to minimize clutter. Keeping all of your runs as short as possible will improve sound quality and also help with the clutter.

first go to the hardware store and get some cable ties multie length. also a good staple gun and 3/8 or 1/2 inch staples. turn on your fav tunes and start unplugging one at a time. wherever you have multiple strands of wire, comb them into large bundles and join with ties. if any bundles can go under a table or similar wood structure leave the tails on the ties long, and you can staple them underneath. this all takes some practice, but in the end it looks good and hides the wire mess. good luck in your type A future
