Backpack. The weight of the books will be more evenly distributed throughout your back and shoulders. With a backpack, place the heaviest items closest to your back.

Backpack. In high school you have alot of books mostly if you take alot of hard classes and you might have alot of note books and you need 2 spread this weight evenly. The messenger bags are never good for your shoulders and put alot of strain on your shoulder and spine. So opt for a backpack if your thinking about taking alot of hard classes.

a backpack. they are easier to fit all your books into and don't pull down one of your shoulders. i started high school with a messenger bag and it was really painful carring all my books too and fro. if you want, then you can get a messenger bag for when you don't have that much homework, but unless you have alot of money to spend, just buy a backpack.

i would say a backpack. its easier to carry around heavy books. my messenger bag sometimes doesnt fit my books. plus a backpack is less strain on your back.

either or.. messenger bag will allow you to fit more but its all up to what style you like better. i say a back pack is easier on the back tho and if you want a more manly look go with the back pack but messenger bags are fly also XD

either one is fine, just pick the one you like. If your worried about being "uncool" it's not nearly as big of a deal as everyone says
