My friend and I were talking about different spiritual and religious views. In the course of our conversation he ended up recommending a story by Mark Twain, but couldn't remember the name. He says it's about how humans have the whole idea about Heaven and hell wrong. Lucifer is talking to Michael about how he doesn't have to spread evil because humans are doing a good job of it on their own.
I've looked for this story, but I can't find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it's "Letters From the Earth".

You should also try "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis it's really interesting and in the same vein.
