I wouldn't say they are unstoppable. You still have to say that Buffalo, NJ, SJ, and Anaheim are right there with them. Yes, the Predators acquired a beast in Forsberg, but even Forsberg has stated that he doesn't really know what the deal is with his foot. I mean, that injury has been lingering for a while. He's definitely not 100% and he's known to be injury prone. With that in mind, don't forget the traits the other team possesses: Buffalo (great chemistry), NJ (great goaltending), Anaheim (awesome defensive duo), and SJ ( offensive powerhouse )!

ummm....no.

They may well win the cup, but I'm still picking Anaheim. There are still some issues here.

1.Forsberg may not even be healthy enough to play or may not be anywhere near 100%.

2. This team has never won a playoff series and doesn't have a lot of experience.

3. Vokoun and Mason are good goaltenders, even great, but you can't put them both in TOGETHER. Other teams have better Goaltenders (again with MORE playoff experience).

4. Look at the standings in the West, especially Goals-Against, Anaheim, San Jose, Detroit, Dallas, Calgary will all be in the playoffs. It's going to be really tough for ANYONE. Obviously SOMEBODY from the West will make it to the finals, but the point is that Buffalo or New Jersey will have it much easier.

I could be wrong of course, I said pretty much the same things about Carolina last year. Nashville is certainly a very good team, maybe the best right now, but I just don't see them that far above the rest of the playoff pack. That's not "unstoppable".

You are so right. They will be unstoppable. They have the best top 9 forwards in the game with a solid 6 D men including newly acquired Vishnevski. They also have a gritty tought 4th line that you need in the playoffs with Tootoo and Hords to go along with a Top tender in Vokoun. Forsberg only adds to an already 1st place team and he is one of the best players in the game when healthy. I dont see how they can be stopped.......offense defense goalteding. They have to be the favorite with Anaheim, Buffalo, San Jose, Detroit behind them.....

They still have to gel as a unit...trades like this usually do not pan out for the benefit for the team getting the star because he does not find his groove with the players on the new team...it is a timing thing. They are shooting their wad on this one shot though, they gave up youth and picks for a rent a player...they better lock him up or it is a must to win the cup this year with this unit.

Their record is incredibly padded by playing in the worst division in the NHL. And chances are good that Forsberg will get hurt again any second.

Don't get too excited. You have no idea how many games they will get out of Forsberg. As often as he gets injured he may be done for the season before the playoffs begin.
