size is not everything.....it's attitude and heart.....many hall of famers did not have the ideal size at their position but it did not hinder them from achieving greatness...play for the love of the sport....jack lambert played mlb at 212 lbs and he was the most intimidating FOOTBALL PLAYER to strap on the cleats.....jack tatum smacked the snot out of the opposition just ask earl campbell....these are just a couple of the many "undersized" heroes of the game....concentrate on light weights will tons of reps and sets...explosion upon impact will carry more momentum than all the weight your frame can carry....bite down on your mouthpiece, tighten your chinstrap and bring all hell with you when you step on the turf...you will not only intimidate the opposition but gain a heck of a lot of respect from your teammates....heart cannot be measured or weighed.....ooohhaaaa!!!!!

Don't take anything for grouth. Just eat alot and stay active and do excercises to keep your muscles in shape. Eat good foods. No fast food. Your only 13 you have a lot of years left for grouth. Let you bidy grow in it's own time. It's aot healthier. By the time you reach age 18 you may have new interests anyway. Yet your goal now is to be a good foorball player. Size does not always matter anyway in football. Footbal is 80% mental and 20% physical.

Simply put just eat healthy foods about 6 times a day and workout with basic weights. Look for a strength coach not a personal trainer who will understand your goals and can take you through a strict regimen of lifting and skills development to allow you to enjoy your sport a lot better. It may not be a cheap as you hope but the benefits will be playing better now and a healthier tomorrow. PS good luck and I hope to hear about you on Saturdays and Sundays in the future.

Seriously, because your 13 it's going to be hard to throw on muscle and weight. I'm 19 I been lifting since I was about your age. I'm 6'0 200lbs right now. I would lift alot, and eat like its your last meal lol. Eat pasta and meat, potatoes all that stuff not just like cake and stuff. I wouldnt take any protien or anything until you get like 14 maybe 15 or until your mom or doctor say its cool. Im not a doctor so im not sure but i dont want to tell you to take supplements and it hurts you.

At 13 you probably don't gain weight or muscle very easily yet. Just keep working out with large weight in few reps and that should help with muscle mass.

Hang with Berry Bonds. JK. You could try to build muscle or eat alot of starchs like bread and oatmeal and stuff like that. You could also try vitamins. The healthiest thing would be for you to let nature run its course.

You should avoid any rapid weight gain/loss, as it is unhealthy and no sport is worth your health.
