I wish you live close to Los Angeles. There is a great herbal doctor here. I have recommended three different friend to her and all of them have kid(s) now.
Good luck to you. I have a tip for you once you are pregnant. A friend of mine had 3 miscarriages before. She can get pregnant but just can't keep the baby. Her doctor told her to take high concentration vitamin E a couple of months before and throughout pregnancy. That worked.

I also tried for several months, and because fertility treatments were not covered under my insurance I tried a few home remedies.....
About 2 days before you ovulate start taking Robitussin, just plain Robitussin (important that it is not DM or any other letters after the name) it will encourage your fluids to flow. This makes it easier for sperm to swim.....
Once you ovulate use progesterone cream for the following week. You can buy it at Whole Foods for about $30. Rub a small amount on your stomach, from what I heard the progesterone is absorbed into your skin and can stimulate your own production. Progesterone is the pregnancy hormone that is produced when you become pregnant.
I don't know if these really were the reason I became pregnant, but after months of trying with no success, the first month I tried both of these it worked.

Have you used any type of ovulation prediction kits?? Before you start taking any kind of drugs or herbs I would suggest doing the ovulation tests since your cycle varies from month to month....You may be ovulating earlier or later than you think ?? I would definitely try that first! They also say for an average couple with no fertility problems that it can take a year or so to become pregnant....Every month you try there is only a 25% chance of becoming pregnant...Good Luck!! ~~~~

I can't tell you what to do... only you know what is best for YOU but I would think twice about taking any herbs that are going to mess with your hormones. If you are looking to take some kind of drug to help with TTC I would talk to your dr. There is nothing wrong with seeking fertility treatment or drugs it is just that these things need to be closley monitored. Good Luck!!!

Do you know for sure that it is you that has the issue with fertility? The reason I ask is that men are easier to check for infertility problems and if it happens to be your husband, then you would have saved time and money. You would also know which direction to go for natural treatment (him or you). If he is willing, I would ask that he gets tested first.
Meanwhile, there are things that you can do naturally to help your body in this area. Here are some suggestions:
**This quote is from The How To Herb Book p. 176
"Some women have problems conceiving because their bodies are either TOO ACID or TOO ALKALINE. This causes their bodies to kill sperm. It is possible to be tested for this. A Baking Soda/Honey douche can be used to correct over-acid problems and a Vinegar douche can be used for over-alkaline problems. These douches must be used just prior to intercourse in order to be effective."
*Basic Vinegar Douche- 1 to 2 Tablespoons white or apple cider vinegar to 1 quart water.
*Baking Soda/Honey Douche- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda, 1 teaspoon Honey to 1 quart water.
**p. 162 - Eating more alkaline-ash foods helps the body to heal and regain its balanced chemistry.
Alkali Forming Foods-vegetables, fruits, greendrinks, juices, broths, soups, cottage cheese, buttermilk
Acid Forming Foods-most grains (except millet), buckwheat, meats, eggs, nuts (except almonds), lentils
Seeds and grains become more alkaline when sprouted.
Neutral or near Neutral- butter, milk, cream, honey, dried legumes
(If you test too Acid, eat more Alkali Forming Foods. If you test too Alkaline, eat more Acid Forming Foods)
Vitamin E, Selenium, Manganese
**p. 116 says that Vitamin E increases fertility. Taking Selenium with Vitamin E helps increases the power of Vitamin E. Manganese needs to be present in the body for Vitamin E to be effective (p. 115). You can get these supplements at Walmart and other drug stores.
**There are some suggestions in this book for men and infertility problems in case his tests prove him to be contributing to the lack of progress (there's just not a good way to put this statement). The book mentions zinc and selenium being important for males in the reproductive department. You may ask him to start taking these as supplements.
If you have any questions or need help finding this book, just EMAIL ME.

I have PCOS and have used Fertility Blend from GNC. Its important ingredient is Vitex which is chasteberry. I had no luck on it, but let us know if you do with any type of herb.
