No. They probably won;t even make it to the conference finals. Even with Forsberg going to Nashville, I'm picking the Ducks. They're way to solid defensively, they're a tough and gritty team who is leading the league in fighting majors this year, and thats a lot of abuse being dished out over a 7 game series, I just can't see them losing 4 of 7 to anyone this year. But I'm just a hopeful homer.

No...i don't believe the Canes will win the cup this year. They are barely fighting for a playoff spot against a weaker Eastern Conference squad. They are not at the level of the Devils or the Sabres this year nor the top squads from the West.

As for who, I'm thinking its gonna come down to 4 teams. It looks like either the Sabres, Ducks, Sharks, or Predators will win it. The Devils look like a 5th team thats ready for it as well. With Nashville picking up Forsberg and having the 2nd best record overall, and only a win short of having the best, I'd say they are the odds on favorite. Still i love the Sharks and I think once they start to get it together, they can come out victorious. The Ducks have a fabulous defense, the Sabres have fabulous team chemistry, and the Devils have fabulous goaltending. It will be fun to see who wins it in the end. Again, Nashville is the favorite, but my heart says San Jose! Go Sharks!

You right, you really dont know but if you had to pick a couple teams it would have to be Anaheim, Nashville or Buffalo. Id say the favorite has to be Anaheim even with the forsberg trade. Pronger and Niedermayer are too good and Defense and goaltending is what you need in the playoffs to succeed. Pronger brought an average Edmonton within one game of the cup and now thats hes on a good team already, watch out!!! Playoffs are a totally different playground and Anaheim has the nod with giggy in net, unreal D and a ton of offense.........you watch!!

Dont think its the Canes year...imo its probably going to be the devils, no matter how hot your scoring is Brody has a way to get not only the wins but the shut outs. Anaheim has a good shot from the west but they seem inconsistent as of late but I think their chemistry is starting to come back together after some key injuries. Edmonton still looks dangerous. Really to ask at this point is really just asking to ask as there really isnt an answer beyond speculation with still plenty of games to left to get hot/cold or hurt.

The Anaheim Ducks, a very talented team i cannot think of anyone in the league that can beat them in a playoff series, they are just too strong, you're potentially talking about Niedermayer or Pronger being on the ice every min of the game during the playoffs if healthy.

Both the Ducks and the Sharks are looking good over half way into the season. I really want to see a West Coast Stanley Cup!

No, and so far, Nashville's a heavy favourite. Their record's just about the same as Buffalo, but they have Forsberg now and the Sabres will crumble under the pressure their bandwagon jumping fans will put them through.

i don't think the canes are going to win..they havn't done to good ofa job of protecying they're title as the champs...the best bets riht now are either nashville or buffalo, but they're are teams like the wings, the devils, the penguins, the canucks, and the lightning that could be the come from behind team just like the oilers were last year...so you really never know
