I think you should consider getting a life. Maggots only have a lifespan on 48 hours- which is two days. So unless you have some really amazing maggots or you're just seeking attention through the internet.
My advice- get a girlfriend or take up a hobby like soccer or basketball.

of course - but remember there are practical considerations also, financially is it affordable right now? I mean coffins don't come cheap do they?...well O.K. maybe you've put enough by to cover it...this time...did your beloved maggot have any companions? If so maybe you should wait and have a collective ceremony.

only consider funeral if you can think of good music to take his corpse to a nice christian burial

if you really loved jimbo, then i don't see why you couldn't have a funeral!! it shows respect :)
