I have read all of his plays and don't recall anything about simplicity. However, it does not mean that he never wrote about it. Try reading his sonnets. I think maybe one should have it.
By the way what's your favorite work by him.

I love two of his works: I am a huge fan of Macbeth and the second play that I love would have to be Henry VIII for I love his historical intake on it.
