ok, so I got my shuffle as a gift with no CD and I already have Itunes on my computer. I charged the shuffle for atleast three hours, I filled it up with songs from my itunes and I see that all the songs are in the shuffle but when i unplug it from the usb and turn it on to lisen to it, the light keeps blinking orange and green for a few seconds.. does that mean nothing is uploaded in the shuffle?? What should I do?

Is your iTunes up to date? You may need to upgrade your iTunes. I have a new iPod Shuffle as well, but I have never had a similar problem with it. If the problem continues, I would just trade it in for a new one. Good luck...

You dont need to register your ipod to use itunes. I am not sure about the other question. However I had a horrible problem with my ipod and i went to the apple store to the "genius bar" and they fixed in a second FOR FREE!!! thats what I would do

hey my friend had an ipod shuffle and i had 2 upload songs and it said dat i uploaded the songs but i cudnt play anythin and the same thing happenedand i gave it back to her and she gave it to a next friend and they said the songs was uploaded 2 it but i think in the wrong format so i guess u gotta read the instructures properly r watever cuz she got songs on hers afterward so i dont know... srry if i wasnt able 2 help out much or watever but i hope u find out how tho later

Also be sure you eject your Ipod shuffle in Itunes before disconnecting as well.

Its an upgrade problem, I have a shuffle also, some problem as well. Alls i did was upgrade itunes and it fixed it.

ah this happened to mine and i could figure out how to fix it for months but then i got so tired of it i just redownloaded itunes and it turns out my library had a virus on it. so that might be it. im sorry if i couldnt help

orange is just a sleep mode
so make sure you click the play button a couple times till it is green
