Absolutely. If it wasn't for the things that I've gone thru in my life, I would never be able to deal with the life I have now. Finding strength and certainty in failure is amazing and gives you clarity to soldier on in life. I couldn't imagine things being any different or not being able to face challenges head on and I never would have been able to do that if it wasn't for my past.

I think my experiences have made me smarter and stronger, especially the bad ones. Like having got out of an abusive relationship, made me feel strong like I knew, I was okay on my own without a man. I am now more independent and so much happier. Had I not of had this happen to me I would have never known what I was missing.

Yes in a way not totally because most of it we learn through education and our parents. I do agree with you that we do learn from our mistakes that have given us some pretty bad experiences.

Yes! If we are faced with different challenges we learn to overcome them. It may sound cliche but it works for me to learn from my mistakes. So what I do in life will someday defy who I have become.

yes, we are somehow a product of every experience we ever had... it's like a pyramid... being yourself as you are now at the top... you can't ignore your memories and the events in your life, that's why, if one loses his memories... he / she is not the same person anymore
