.....its like a red bump, Its not one of those things that need squeezing. Has anybody else ever had this and will it eventually go back to normal if i keep the piercing out of it.

I am presuming you had the piercing done with a gun as opposed to a needle, and thus this lump is the excess cartilage that has not come off. Piercings with a gun merely make a hole without removing the excess cartilage. A piercing done with a needle does not result in leaving this excess cartilage, unless it was poorly done.

A friend of mine had one of her ear piercings done with a gun and she was left with this unsightly lump. All the others which were done with a needle do not have this lump.

If you remove your piercing, the lump will not disappear, but the hole will close up!!

if its been that long you need to leave the ear ring out and see if it can heal, sounds like its staying a little infected all time, when you clean the place does it feel sticky,i would suggest leaving the ear ring out period if it has not healed by now it is not going to/it needs the oppurtunity to heal..........good luck

It kinda sounds like it could be either a blow-out or a boil. Check out these links and see if they match up.
