It is NOT okay to be depressed most of the time. You might have Major Depression, Recurrent. I would strongly suggest you see a psychiatrist. There are many good anti depressants that likely would help. Once you feel better, there are lifestyle changes that can also help. But, I know nothing about your daily life.

You might have to try several types before finding the medication that works best for you.

If it is affecting your lifestyle, and so forth, it isn't okay I would think it would bother you, but you're asking if it's okay, so, I don't know whether or not it bothers you.

You can best know whether it's okay or not. There is also a condition called Dysthymia, which a low grade depression that is there most or all of the time.

If it does bother you, please see a mental healthy professional.

Best of luck to you...

That's a good question. Do you prefer to be depressed most of the time? If the answer is yes, then it's fine. If the answer is no, then it is NOT okay to be depressed most of the time and I would encourage anyone who feels that way to get some help either through a friend, family member, or perhaps a medical professional if they feel it's the right thing to do.

Yes, everyone is. The people you see who appear to be happy are either liars or are so full of mind-altering substances that they have forgotten how loathsome modern life has become. Either way, they are clearly out of touch with reality and should be avoided at all costs.
