I like Newt. I hope he runs. I also like Duncan Hunter. Have you checked out his site yet?

Newt has a lot of passion and he can get things done the only problem is he sometimes let's that passion get in the way of being pragmatic which means he would not be a good President. Great for political talk shows like Meet the Press but really bad for the White house.

I remember Newt. He was Speaker of the House, leading the charge to convict the President in the Lewinsky "morals" scandal-and he resigned after it was discovered he was having an affair while he was married himself. Yeah, having an affair right then while he was complaining about Clinton being so "immoral". Really self righteous one day, really quiet after that. We would have the best jokes!

Unbias towards the right or left?!?!?!?!?!

Please.

I did pull up the website, and as soon as I read,

III.
"Recenter on the Creator from Whom all our liberties come. We will insist on a judiciary that understands the centrality of God in American history and reasserts the legitimacy of recognizing the Creator in public life."

I laughed at that coming from someone of his ilk, and quickly closed the web site.

Newt is a brilliant man & a 1st rate policy wonk. He lacks the people skills necessary to be President.

I'm thinking we need a progressive change, not a revisitation of the hypocritical politics of the past.

Don't forget how Newt, as speaker, started failed Impeachment hearings while he was in the process of having an affair himself. Not to mention that he's a Republican.

The last Republican President for a couple generations is currently single-handedly dethroning his party's legitiamcy--pay attention.

didnt he have a book of scandals surrounding him at one time? it seems he was part of that deal to impeach clinton for having an affair and meanwhile newt was having one himself... seems some money handling charges were pending too at one time he was almost impeached... I am a conservative but he was a bad republican and I say no to newt

I think I remember a time when he showed intolerance for gays. I don't think that it is moral to be gay but that is between a person and their Creator. I don't see it to be OK to be intolerant or to bash people for their sexual preferences. I do agree with him on most issues but I would rather see Tecrado (spelling?) run.

What Rudy Guiliani needs to do is put Newt on his staff, that way he gets the conservative vote without having to "buddy" up in a pubic way with Newt.
