There can be many different reasons why....Did you skip a dose? Most of the time it's due to the pill either being too strong or not strong enough. If this is the first month of taking the bc then you may experience break threw bleeding the first couple of months and this is normal for most. However, if you do not stop with the bleeding in the next couple of days, I would suggest calling your doctor he may need to switch you to another strength or brand.

Another possibility is that the amount of hormone in your particular pill may be too low for your body to handle.

I had problems with Loestrin when I tried to take it about 10 years ago. One of the issues I had was that the amount of estrogen in that pill (I took the Loestrin Fe 1/20) was too low for my body to deal with so I bled a lot.

I would recommend talking to your dr about this issue.

what do u mean by bleeding? is it your regular period? on the pill you still still get your period. loestrin is meant to give you shorter lighter periods but u will of course still get them.
