is hillary's refusal to admit she regrets her initial vote on the war a way to pull a few republicans her way? she is being stubborn on this issue.

You know, Hillary is such a divisive character for Republicans, that I would guess no matter what she does, she won't pull too many people her way.

But she *is* trying to sway some of the independent "swing voters."

I'm no expert on US politics, but I know that hillary has the fact that she is a woman working against her as far as that goes. With women in politics, they don't want to appear too "weak" or they'll be critisised, but they'll be critisised if they are too "alpha" either way.

But it is true that there's a few democrats trying to pander to some voters on the right which is insane. But I guess they figure that confidence lost in the republicans is a good chance to gain some of those lost votes.

Forgive my cynisism, but it was probably about money and sponsorship somehow.
I don't think she's trying to pander to anyone on the right, though.

She's between a rock and a hard place in that she has carefully and comprehensively explained her vote and backtracking on that vote is proving to be a perilous journey. Anyone with a brain in their head who reads her rationale for the vote to go to war (which she has reiterated in the last six months) will wonder how on earth it is that she thinks she can now wiggle out of it.

I think her whole purpose is to shade the issue by pandering to the wackjob faithful and hoping that they'll forgive her for using her common sense. I live in NH and when she comes to the state (at this time, that's almost every week) the adoring masses turn out regularly to hear her denounce George Bush. It's rather sad to see her debase herself in this manner but I lost faith in her and that bum she calls her husband way back in '93.

She doesn't regret her initial vote, does she? I read somewhere that she voted for it because she hated the fact that the right wingers didn't stand behind her husband and respect him for being President so she wanted to stand behind the President (Bush).

This question has been done today. And, she has admitted her regrets for supporting the funding for the war after finding out she was lied to...along with other democrats in office at the time.

Look at the difference between my response and the first girl's...her is all bashing and name calling. Can't even stick to the topic at hand without some angry bashing.

Politicians never say they were wrong. Obama did though. But if Hillary said she was wrong now, people would say she is only saying that because Obama did.

hillary is just trying to appeal mainstream to glean votes from moderates. all smoke and mirrors in an attempt to veil her secular-progressive ideologies.

Hillary will never pull republicans her way. She stinks too much of her socialist liberal left wing stench.
