There are two important things you need to check before upgrading your graphics card and they are: One, to check and see what kind of power supply you have. You will need to know how much voltage it can put out and how good the power rails are on it. The second thing to know is what kind of graphics interface your motherboard has on it such as AGP, PCI, PCI express, but since your coming from a 9550 it is safe to say you have a AGP slot on your mother board.

What kind of computer you have? Go to the computer manufacturer's website, go to their support section. Enter your computer model number. You should be able to find out about your comp. If your video card is an AGP card then buy a card thats AGP. If your current card is PCI-Express then buy one that fit in a PCI-E slot.

most video cards should work fine with your specs, but u need to find out the power supply watts and if its agp or pci express, but with a 9800 ati you should be fine.

Since your display card is an AGP display card, I assume you want to buy another AGP display card too. I recommend an ATI Radeon X1950 pro. Check this website for more information.
