i have a cingular plan phone...but the phone is dead...my sim card works fine...i wanted to know if i am able to switch out a pre-paid sim card with my sim card and there be no problems?

yes u can switch the prepaid for the plan sim card, the plan and prepaid information is on the sim card not the phone

It all depends. The cell phone itself has software in it, of course. Some phones made strictly for prepaid plans won't work with any other SIM. Others might work but might be locked to a particular provider. Try it and see. You can't hurt it.

Yup! My buddy stepped on his new phone and was told he had to pay another $200 for a replacement. He went to Radio Shack and paid $20 for one of those Metro PCS phones, took out the sim card and put his in and WHAM! New phone.... $20.
