It seems sort of mean and wrong to me that we decieve children. Does anyone else feel this way?

It's all how a person looks at it, and how they were raised. Many people think it is wrong to lie to their kids about such events while others look at it as something fun for their children to look forward too. As for myself I enjoyed believing in Santa and the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy...they gave me pleasure and enjoyment and that is something that doesn't happen too often in children's lives of today. It is part of being a kid I guess. I personally wasn't mortified to learn otherwise when I was older...it wasn't all that disturbing to me. But everyone has their own opinions about this matter and you just have to go with your gut instincts on this one.

Good luck and I hope this helped you a little bit.

I don't feel that it's really deceiving children. I feel it's more like part of the magic of being a child - to believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny. I think you'll find most people have fond memories of being that young and looking forward to Santa coming on Xmas Eve. It's part of our culture and tradition. I think it's a shame that young kids are maturing way too fast these days and leaving Santa behind for a cell phone and ipod!
Good Question!

No, I think it's more important for kids to believe in the 'spirit' of the event. If you have other customs that accompany the holiday then the Bunny, Santa and Tooth Fairy are just one small part of it.

Wasn't Santa, The Easter Bunny, etc. magical to you as a child? Didn't you have an imaginary friend? Let a child's imagination wander....

Biblically lie-ing is rooted in law-ing, which is a childish thing done in ignorance, and called devilish wisdom, to be put away when full age; Full age being the perfect man Christ: the end of the law.

Paul The Apostle says biblical evidence makes it "evident" that no "man" is justified by the law in the sight of God; Which suggests man kind (of babe->child->man) are held accountable to be grace us non lawing adults, especially concerning children.

So it is allegorically written unto adults concerning children: "forbid(law) them not"; And in another place it notes lawing little ones brings adults an end worse than a mafia drowning (millstone drowning).

Which things are an "allegory",
written aforetime for our learning.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

It's not a lie - it's fantasy, some bound in century-old traditions. Weren't you ever a child?

Listening to and noticing fairies (or faeries), is simply a matter of awareness. They tend to be fond of people who seek them out and if you put the effort into it you will often find they put just as much effort into making themselves appear to you. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/mystical-fairies.html
